PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Scrum Master to join our team and help drive the successful delivery of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile principles, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to facilitate cross-functional teams. As a Scrum Master, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, helping the team effectively apply Scrum principles, and ensuring smooth project execution.

CIMET provides end-to-end comparison and signup of energy, telecommunication, credit cards and other products plans through its online solution in a B2B and B2C environment. It presently caters to more than 40+ Utilities and Financial Service providers and has over 200+ partners. The online comparison market is extremely crowded in Australia, with most comparators providing a light touch directory solution. CIMET saw this as an opportunity and developed a fully integrated online comparison and signup platform.
On 15 March 2022, CIMET partnered with iSelect who acquired a 49% stake in CIMET Holdings.
Going forward, CIMET will use this investment from iSelect to expand into new products including Credit Cards, Home loans, Car loans, Personal loans, Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Pet Insurance among others. CIMET today has around 200+ team members, across Australia, India and Philippines and will double over the next 2 years.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum Events: Organize and lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure that the team is progressing towards project goals.
- Remove Obstacles: Identify and help remove any obstacles or blockers that might hinder the team's progress.
- Coach and Mentor: Educate and guide the team and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum principles, fostering self-organization and accountability within the team.
- Promote Communication: Facilitate clear communication within the team and with external stakeholders, promoting transparency in progress and decision-making.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, track team metrics (velocity, burn-down), and work with the team to implement process improvements.
- Support Product Owners: Work closely with Product Owners to manage backlogs, clarify requirements, and set priorities.
- Protect the Team: Shield the team from external distractions, ensuring they can remain focused on sprint objectives.
- Ensure Alignment: Facilitate coordination and alignment between different teams and departments as necessary to ensure smooth delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certifications (e.g., PSM, PMI-ACP) preferred.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role in Agile environments.
- Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (development, QA, product) in an IT, software, or technology environment.

- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to foster a positive and productive team environment.
- Familiarity with software development processes and concepts.
- Proven ability to facilitate productive meetings and workshops.

Education Qualification:
- Any Technical Degree BTech., B.E. BCA, MCA will be preferred.
